Today I Learned How Babies Are X-Rayed And I’m Losing My Goddamn Mind

Babies in tubes is the thought that’s going to keep me smiling for the rest of the week

I’m generally a pretty inquisitive person but “how do doctors x-ray babies” is a question I have never once pondered in my entire life. But even though this is something I’ve never wondered, I am so, so glad I now know the answer, because holy crap it’s better than I ever could’ve imagined. Babies move around a lot, they’re figuring out their limbs and don’t necessarily have full control over their faculties, and it’s not like you can just tell a baby to sit still, so yeah, having to x-ray one would probably be quite the conundrum.

So, what’s the solution?

STICK ‘EM IN A TUBE.

BABIES IN TUBES IS NOW THE FUNNIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN.

You can tell by their faces that they are not having a good time and I don’t blame them, that looks like literally the most uncomfortable position to be stuck in.

But the x-rays gotta get done somehow! Plus they’re not even making memories yet, so what’s the harm. They’re fiiiiiiine.

A few people quickly noticed how similar the squished tube children looked to Augustus Gloop and Danny deVito, because life really does imitate art.

And some people shared photos of their own children, and listen — I know these pictures are all essentially the same, but do they really get any less funny the more you look at them??

NOPE.

So next time you’re dreading your visit to the doctor, just remember — at least you’re (probably) not gonna get shoved in a tube.
